In 2018, I published my honors thesis Hip-Hop: From New York City to Columbia with support from the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina. I spent the final year of my undergraduate program researching the origins of hip-hop culture and how its effects can be seen in Columbia, SC’s present-day dance culture. With this content, I proceeded to write, photograph, and design my first book.
