Textio U Redesign
CREATIVE Director + lead designer
Prior to the redesign, Textio U was, at best, hard to look at, and at worst, broken and dysfunctional. For years it had existed in the background as this point of embarrassment for the internal team at Textio. Textio U has been popular for years, with hundreds of organic users each month, but a redesign kept being put on the back-burner due to low capacity.
Once the full redesign of Textio.com was completed, I proposed that we dedicate some engineering hours to bring Textio U up to match. During this process, I designed each page, UI element, quiz, thumbnail, you name it, and our awesome contract engineer brought it to life. I managed all dev work brought in additional resources as needed.
looking back
Below are a few different snapshots of Textio U prior to the redesign work.
the process
All design work for this project was completed in Figma and followed the design direction of the primary Textio site as much as possible.
